About Helen M.

My name is Helen Mburu, and I bring with me over 30 years of experience in the care profession. Throughout my career, I have made it my mission to support individuals in need of care, comfort and genuine companionship. I have extensive experience working with people living with dementia and those recovering from strokes, and I am fully certified in First Aid, food hygiene, medication administration, and have successfully completed the UK Care Certificate. I believe that care is not just about assisting with daily activities – it’s about building meaningful relationships, offering emotional support, and making sure each person feels valued, respected and safe in their own home. I take great pride in my ability to listen, communicate effectively and adapt to the unique needs of each individual I support. My journey in care began when I trained and worked as a nurse in my home country. From a young age, I was inspired by my mother, who had a deep love for people and always welcomed others into our home. That nurturing environment shaped my desire to help others and instilled in me a lifelong passion for caring. I’ve carried that compassion into every role I've held, and I continue to find true fulfilment in supporting others to live as independently and comfortably as possible. I would be honoured to bring my warmth, dedication and experience into your home. I truly believe in making a positive difference in people’s lives and feel grateful for every opportunity to do so.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family – especially my grandchildren – as well as singing, reading, and going for walks on lovely sunny days.
