About Nomusa K.

My name is Nomusa Khumalo, and I have been working as a professional carer for 15 years. Over this time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, palliative care, and mobility and transfer assistance, among many others. I hold an Access to Nursing Diploma as well as an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I also have 14 years of live-in care experience, which has given me deep insight into providing compassionate, person-centred support around the clock. I believe it is both my duty and my passion to care for those who are not able to care for themselves. Nothing motivates me more than seeing the people I look after making progress and improving their quality of life. This is what gives me the strength and purpose to continue providing care with commitment and heart. I always treat every individual with dignity and respect, and I ensure they are given the opportunity to make their own choices and decisions about their care. My focus is always on meeting their needs in the best possible way. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping busy with housework like cleaning, washing, and ironing. I also like watching television, spending time with family, or doing a bit of gardening when the weather allows. I would describe myself as kind, polite, straightforward, and someone who is always willing to learn. I value clear communication and enjoy working closely with others. My personality is principled and conscientious, and I take great pride in delivering care that makes a difference.
