Hello, my name is Khadijah and I’m a caring, compassionate professional with over 5 years of experience providing round-the-clock support to clients with a wide range of needs. My passion for care is deeply rooted in a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those I support, and I take pride in delivering person-centred, empathetic care every day.
Over the years, I’ve worked closely with clients living with multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dementia, autism, hypertension, and those experiencing limited mobility due to injury. I’ve also supported elderly individuals with no formal diagnosis but who require help with day-to-day tasks due to age-related challenges.
My experience lies predominantly within elderly care, and I’ve had the privilege of working both in live-in and daily care settings. My duties have included personal and incontinence care, feeding and hydration support, medication prompting and administration, moving and handling, stoma and catheter care, liaising with GPs and families, and keeping the home clean and tidy. I also provide companionship and emotional reassurance, which I believe are just as important as any physical care task.
I am dependable, attentive, and always find ways to ensure my clients receive the care and connection they deserve. I’m often described as bubbly, outgoing, and fun to be around. I genuinely love what I do, and it shows in the way I connect with the people I care for. Caring isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling. If it wasn’t something I enjoyed or felt naturally drawn to, I would have taken a different path, but this is where my heart lies.
Outside of work, I’m a bit of a bookworm and nature lover. I enjoy going for walks, cooking, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. I’m also very spiritual, curious, and always open to learning from the incredible people I meet through my work.
