About Sibongile N.

With over two decades of experience in mental health care, I have had the privilege of working across a wide range of settings, including CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), adult and elderly care, and specialized mental health wards. My expertise spans dementia, eating disorders, personality disorders, and managing challenging behaviors in secure units (PICU). I have also contributed to renowned mental health organizations such as Cygnet and the Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I provided essential support to clients in their homes, preparing and delivering hot meals while ensuring their safety and well-being. I also facilitated Zoom therapy sessions for NHS professionals struggling with anxiety and depression, with a particular focus on supporting Black and minority communities in London and the Midlands. I have extensive experience working with crisis intervention teams, including the 136 Suite Police Pathway, where I offered coping strategies using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, my six years with the Crisis Team involved delivering immediate support and conducting thorough mental health assessments for individuals in distress. My diverse career has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of mental health care and a compassionate approach to providing person-centered support tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Hobbies

I have a deep passion for cooking dishes from various countries and sharing them with vulnerable individuals in the community, as I am dedicated to volunteering and giving back. Community work holds great importance to me, and I find immense fulfillment in providing practical support, such as preparing hot meals and offering peer support to those in need. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and exploring diverse cuisines from around the world. I also spend time reading and researching Bible verses, particularly those related to science, prophecy, and other meaningful life topics. Additionally, I have a keen interest in learning languages and immersing myself in different cultures through communication.
