About Virginia Z.

Hello! My name is Virginia, and I have over 20 years of experience in care, working in a variety of settings. I began my professional journey as a teacher, where my passion for supporting others truly began. My teaching background helped me develop skills in patience, empathy, and understanding, which naturally led me to transition into the care sector. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working as a healthcare assistant, support worker, and now as a live-in carer. I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of conditions, including Alzheimer's Dementia, Cancer, COPD, Learning Disabilities, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Physical Disabilities, Stroke, Terminal Illness, Epilepsy, Spinal Injuries, and Parkinson's Disease. I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, which has deepened my knowledge and enhanced my ability to provide the highest level of care. I take pride in my strong values and my ability to approach care with compassion and professionalism. I have a solid understanding of dementia care and an effective, person-centered approach that ensures those I support feel respected and valued. Safeguarding is also a key priority in my role, and I always aim to create a safe, supportive environment for those in my care. I am passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives, and I am always looking for ways to improve and adapt my approach to meet each person's unique needs. I am here not only to provide care but also to listen, support, and help maintain independence as much as possible. I look forward to continuing my journey in care and making a lasting, positive impact on those I have the privilege to support.
