My name is Rudo Magara born in Harare the Capital of Zimbabwe. l moved to England in March 2001 after losing my Dad to Cancer. Upon my arrival l got a Live in Care job in Richmond and as years went on l worked in residential homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care within my local area where I absolutely loved working with ICT patients coming out of hospital and needing help settling in back in their homes. Whilst working as a Domiciliary Carer l got my biggest ever accolade from my employer in the United States of America with praises showering from Four States and I have also won numerous Carer of the Month awards. To date l have 21 years experience as a carer most spent as a private live in carer due to continuous recommendations and l have hands on experience working with teams of specialists like OTs, physiotherapists, social workers and District/Community Nurses and GPs. I hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care acquired at Northbrook College. My other most valued experience was with Chiltington Residential Home where I doubled up as Carer and Cooking in the Main Kitchen that enhanced my Food Nutrition passion which has turned into my main hobby - cooking. I am skilled in assisting with daily living activities including administering medication, meal preparation and personal care. I am also very passionate about improving patient well being and independence.
