I have 21 years of experience working in care settings which include residential homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and live - in care. I have looked after people living with Dementia, Parkinson's disease, challenging behaviours, learning difficulties and several other health conditions. Over the years, I have developed a compassionate approach and confidence in assisting clients with all personal care needs and other aspects of daily living according to their care plans. I have experience in assisting clients with all personal hygiene needs, toileting, eating, cooking, cleaning, personal grooming, and any other administrative tasks that they need support with, without depriving them of their own independence. I decided to pursue my passion in care while looking after my father, who had suffered a stroke many years ago. Since then I have always enjoyed caring for people. I get satisfaction knowing that I have made a positive impact in someone else's life. I am a good communicator who enjoys her job. I interact well with my clients when performing my duties. I work at my their own pace without rushing them. I am patient, hard working, reliable and always respectful of my clients and their living environment. In my spare time I enjoy knitting, going out for long walks, reading and getting in touch with my friends and family. I like baking and cooking with the use of recipe books or Google for the non basic recipes.
