About Lorna M.

Lorna is a warm, compassionate, cheerful, hugely experienced and intelligent carer who trained, qualified and worked as a nurse in South Africa. She has worked in different aspects of care all her life. She set up and ran her own business providing First Aid Training and equipment to industry, whilst also working part time as a paramedic both on ambulances and in a Trauma centre; this gave her experience working in a high pressure environment, so she is confident and composed in a crisis and is used to dealing with a range of different people. She is also a sensible, practical person who is highly reliable. Lorna enjoys making a difference to a client, getting to know them so she can provide person centred care according to their individual needs; enabling them to live a happy and fulfilled life. Very easy to talk to, she is also sensible and discreet and knows when to step back. She is a good cook and will cook nutritious meals in consultation with her clients’ tastes. She is an animal lover and will happily assist in the care of her client’s pets. A keen horse rider all her life, she still owns a horse on her farm near Johannesburg.
