About Margot T.

Margot is a cheerful, warm, and calm carer who moved to the UK from Zimbabwe in 2003. She trained as a nurse in Zimbabwe. Margot moved into the care sector in 2014 where she has worked as a support worker providing one-to-one daily service in clients’ homes and more recently, as a care assistant in residential care homes. Margot has experience caring for clients with a variety of health needs, including multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, dementia, clients who have poor eyesight, clients suffering from incontinence, and those with catheters and suprapubic catheters. She has also experience with many types of hoists and moving and handling aids and PEG feeding. Margot feels that live-in care provides an opportunity to provide person-centred care. She recognises that each individual has “personal needs unique to them, which should be both considered and honoured.”
