About Lorraine P.

Lorraine is a warm, chatty, experienced carer. She started work as a Live-in carer in 2015 and has gained experience supporting various clients to remain living independently and safely in their own homes. Lorraine has also provided support to homecare teams in her area as a Domiciliary Carer when required. Prior to working as a live-in carer she worked in various jobs that fitted around her family such as a lollipop lady, as a call advisor for a pension company and administration type roles. Lorraine has experience of working with clients who have had dementia, multiple sclerosis, a stroke, clients who are end of life, and clients with poor mobility including a client who was an amputee. She supports her clients with full personal care including shaving and all personal care including those who are incontinent or those using urinary sheaths and clients with a catheter. She is happy to assists her clients with their medication, household tasks, accessing the community, shopping, caring for their pets, meal preparation and assisting them to eat if necessary and is happy to learn new skills.

In her spare time Lorraine enjoys walking, sewing, macramé, a range of arts and crafts, doing puzzles and baking. Lorraine likes to take clients out walking, in their wheelchairs or in her car to gardens, coffee or to meet friends should they wish to.
