I am Kate – a friendly, down-to-earth carer with a genuine passion for helping others. I have worked in the care industry for many years, starting my journey in residential homes, then moving on to provide support in independent living environments for adults with learning disabilities, as well as working with children who have complex care needs in the community. In my experience, I’ve cared for individuals with mild to advanced dementia, diabetes, strokes, hemiplegia, early-stage Parkinson’s, and learning disabilities. I have gained hands-on experience with hoists, standing aids, catheter care, and palliative care, ensuring that my clients receive the best possible support. In 2021, I made the switch to live-in care, and I’ve truly found my calling. I love being able to provide personalized care, building strong and meaningful relationships with the people I support. I find joy in making someone happy and helping them regain or maintain their independence, no matter their circumstances. Every day, I’m driven by a desire to make a positive difference in someone’s life, and I’m committed to delivering compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care.
