Gaia has had care experience for most of her life as she grew up with her brother who suffered with cerebral palsy. Gaia has worked in care since 2005, first gaining experience in residential units for both children and adults, and then since 2013 she has worked in live in care. She enjoys developing a one to one relationship with her clients and supporting them to live as independently as possible in their own homes within their own routines. Her referees describe her as ‘an excellent carer, extremely capable, kind, calm, caring, patient and proactive. I would highly recommend her.’ Gaia is also a confident driver and an animal lover. She also describes herself as a good cook and she says she is happy to cook everything, although she is vegetarian herself.
