About Margaret N.

I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and lived there with my husband and 4 children until I was widowed in 1996. I emigrated to the UK with my children in 1999 and knew this was my time to fulfil my dream to become a nurse and that is where my nursing journey began at Brighton University in 1999. I retired from nursing in November 2019 and took the opportunity to do some travelling and resting but soon felt the need to get back working albeit at a slower pace so in June 2020 during the Covid pandemic I started doing live in care and companionship work and found it fulfilling. I have enjoyed getting to know my client as well as their relatives and this has allowed me to put my skills into practice as well as learning new ones as a live in carer.
