About Joan W.
My name is Joan Wanyoike, and I have been working in the care profession since 2002. I began my journey in a residential home, where I gained invaluable experience over many years, before transitioning to live-in care in 2021. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for providing high-quality, person-centered care that truly makes a difference in the lives of those I support.
I am a highly organised and motivated Care Assistant, with expertise in implementing and monitoring care plans and managing client and resident assessments. My experience has also equipped me to work effectively as part of a team or independently, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of collaboration and trust.
I am particularly skilled in caring for individuals living with dementia, ensuring that their care plans are followed and adapted to meet their unique needs. I am also qualified in end-of-life care, dementia care, and team leading, and I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
In addition to my professional qualifications, I excel at managing high-stress situations and am deeply committed to maintaining a calm, compassionate, and supportive environment. My goal is to provide not just physical care, but emotional support and dignity to every individual I work with, enabling them to live their lives as comfortably and fulfillingly as possible.
