I have worked in the care sector for many years and love being a live in carer. My experience is wide and varied including dementia, diabetes, Parkinson's, medication management, and hoisting. Caring has been my passion, and I come with a thorough knowledge, experience and skills which gives me insight into the medical side of care. I observe well, liaise and communicate well between all parties such as medical teams and community assistance. I have been with families for long period and they commented on my confidence, competence and compatibility.
I love cooking delicious and tasty meals that I can share with my clients, I love joking and being with people, building a safe and secure relationships with my client and their family. Before I came into care I was a primary school teacher and loved teaching children new and exciting thing, I came into care very naturally. My role in healthcare has never been just a job for me, I really enjoy working directly with people. especially on a one to one basis where I have the time to build a good relationship, offer 100% support and make a difference in their lives. I find it very beneficial for families and is the reason I prefer to work in private care. I also find that the relationship can be rewarding for both parties. For me, it is not only about helping others but I have learned how to really communicate with people
