About Grace N.

I have been dedicated to the care sector since 2003, amassing a wealth of experience across various settings, including nursing homes, residential care, and supported living environments. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals with dementia, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, as well as those with learning disabilities and autism. My collaboration with healthcare professionals has given me a solid understanding of the duty of care. As a live-in carer, I have found immense fulfillment in caring for the elderly. I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique characteristics of each individual, recognizing the importance of treating them as distinct persons. I enjoy taking clients for walks and exploring places that interest them, enhancing their quality of life through enjoyable experiences. Cooking is another passion of mine, and I love preparing meals and engaging in activities that promote overall well-being. In my role as a carer, I prioritise the quality of life of those I support. I assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and maintaining personal appearance. I believe that a good carer must respect the individuality of each person, demonstrating empathy, reliability, and patience. I am flexible, able to multi-task effectively, and possess strong communication skills paired with a professional attitude.

Hobbies

I have a passion for traveling and exploring new destinations, as well as enjoying holidays that allow me to unwind and experience different cultures. I make it a point to stay informed about current affairs and engage with my community by attending church services, participating in women’s groups, and joining prayer meetings and conferences. Additionally, I find great joy in cooking and baking, where I can express my creativity in the kitchen.
