After obtaining a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care I have worked in hospitals and private homes as a carer and senior support worker. Whilst caring for my clients with various medical conditions, I also helped with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, administering medication, personal grooming and other duties required by the clients. My extensive work experience has given me an attitude of respect towards people of different backgrounds, thus allowing me to give equal opportunities such as privacy, dignity and encouraging them to increase their scope for choice and independence. I am hard working and can work on my own initiative without requiring supervision. I am honest, loyal, able to communicate efficiently and take pride in making a difference within people's lives through bespoke person-centred care. I have attended and successfully completed courses which have enhanced my level of competence in the delivery of high levels of care and support to establish and maintain structure within people lives. I enjoy taking clients out for meals, holidays, out to the city centre and other activities they enjoy to do during the day. My hobbies include reading books, cooking, attending theatre shows, cinemas, going on holidays and listening to music. I am available for live in placement and totally flexible to travel nationwide.
