I have worked in nursing and residential homes in the last 14 years where I supported for the elderly and people with learning disabilities. I have also done live in care jobs supporting clients to live a respectable, independent life in their own homes. I assisted them with all aspects of care including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, cleaning the home and garden, doing laundry, attending medical appointments, doing their daily shopping and going for walks.

I'm a mature, experienced, honest and reliable person, full of respect and value people regardless of reed.

I like to spend my free time with gardening, going to church, watching TV, reading books, sewing and knitting.

I'm looking for live in care opportunities. Available from the 8th of January for 2 weeks and then available from the 8th of February. Please feel free to contact me.

Virginia was the full time carer to our 94 year old mother who had advanced vascular dementia. Her professionalism, commitment and dedication ensured that our mother’s final months were spent in a safe and caring environment within her own home. Virginia was very attentive and always offered reassurance, encouragement and comfort. In addition, she was compassionate and patient in dealing with the sometimes challenging aspects of our mother’s illness and ensured that our mother always felt safe. Virginia’s ability to communicate, interact, engage and encourage our mother was outstanding. She has a warm and generous nature with a ready and welcoming smile. In addition, to the care she gave to our mother – Virginia provided enormous and invaluable support to my sister and I and ensured that any issues or concerns that needed to be addressed were immediately communicated to us. We found Virginia to be highly professional, reliable and trustworthy.

Virginia was an excellent member of staff, who was always punctual, reliable, honest and committed to providing support to the people living within the service. She was always willing to cover shifts at short notice and was an excellent team player, supporting her colleagues when they needed it. Virginia was an asset to the team and the organisation and I would definitely recommend her and reemploy her in the future.
