I have about 7 years care experience and in these years I have worked with different client groups. I have worked in residential and nursing care with elderly and dementia clients. I have also worked with physical and learning disability/challenging behaviour clients. For the past 2 years I have been working as a live in carer.

I am good with people, kind and able to go the extra mile to make a difference. I love care work and always try to be very supportive, flexible and able to work using my initiative. I'm a people's person with good communication skills and a caring nature.

i love cooking, reading and waking in the nature. I would enrich my client's life by making a positive impact, encouraging them to indulge their interest, going out for walks, community activities and any in house activities they desire. I'm happy to read for them, play games, prepare nutritious and healthy meals.

I'm looking for live in care work and available from 6th Dec for 2 weeks and then from the 12th January for up to 8 weeks or ongoing.

I have known Folashade for a few years, she was the live in carer for my uncle. She was his carer for a year until he passed away. Follashade was great. She shared her job with another carer, doing 4 to 6 weeks at a time. I must say Folashade was the best carer we had. She did everything she could to give my uncle a caring, decent life. He suffered from vascular dementia and by the time she came to help us with him he was very limited in mobility and needed help with everything. She fed him great homemade meals, always caring about his diet and providing delicious healthy meals. She cleaned and tidied his house. Was in charge of everything including his personal higiene and his catheter. There wasn't a job she wouldn't do. And always with care, dedication and professionalism. She was always punctual and very dedicated. In some instances when the other carer was late in taking over and so on she was always patient and never left my uncle alone. She was so caring and dedicated that I would only leave the country if Folashade was in charge of my uncle's house. I trusted her completely. As he deteriorated and needed even more care (as he became bed-bound ) she cared for him as if she was a family member. I completely trust Folashade and think the family who has her looking after their family member is very lucky.

Fola first came to me as a live in carer in May 2016. My husband suffers from Alzheimer's and cancer and I am registered blind and have mobility problems which necessitate a wheelchair outdoors. Although rather shy at first Fola quietly and efficiently became our carer in every way. We very soon learned that Fola is an excellent cook and although a vegetarian herself produces many wonderful meat dishes for us. Cooking being one of her hobbies Fola often spends her free time making delicious cakes using my grandmother's recipe book. As regards the personal side of caring Fola shows consideration for one's feelings and dignity, she is kind, gentle and sympathetic. An example of her dedication to her work came about when she returned to us after a time away. it is often necessary for my shoulders to be rubbed with Voltarol after I've climbed in to and out of a car, she was good at the task but suddenly she was expert. I discovered she had bothered to attend a one day course on massage during her absence. Following a stroke my husband was hospitalised for five weeks. On discharge he was confused, unco-operative and physically weak but Fola was there to coax him into a new home routine and adjust to two live in carers. Since this time Fola has worked devotedly for us and companniably with five different colleagues, from time to time I felt she was too willing to do more than her fair share. In all respects Fola is honest, loyal and trustworthy, she takes a pride in her appearance, is always clean, neat, tidy and a cheerful, warm smile is never far from her face. When I have a problem with my computer or printer Fola usually manages to solve it. She is also very clever with a needle and thread. "A Carer" is a very apt description for Fola and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
