I have worked in the healthcare profession for over 15 years and gained a vast of practical and theoretical experience both in NHS and within the community. I have worked as a team leader while in the community, assisted clients with personal care, medication prompting, meal preparation, undertook risk assessments on clients and coordinated staff along with drawing up rotas on a weekly/monthly basis, etc. Most of my clients had dementia, cancer and other terminal illnesses.

I am patient, empathetic, understanding, compassionate and caring. I can make my client's life easier by reading their care plans, speaking to their family to see their medical history, likes and dislikes. Depending on what the clients like, I enjoy watching movies, going for a walk, eating out and watching TV with them. Personally I'm interested in keeping myself trained in order to help my personal performance development. I like going to the pictures, reading.

I'm looking for live in care roles and available from the 25th November, preferably on a two weeks on two weeks off basis.

Jennifer looked after my father with severe end stage dementia as a care co-ordinator. She took part in elements of personal care when the company fell down on their duty of care, she never let my father have a missed care call. Jennifer made sure that the company and carers were at my father’s house at the right time and did their job properly. My father was always well dressed, smelt clean and fresh and the staff seem to have a lot of respect for her as she did not slap dash a job for lack of time. Jennifer was very punctual. If the call was at 7.30am you could guarantee that Jennifer was there at 7.20am (I live with my parents) waiting for her partner to come so that they could start work. When she was reviewing the service and she said she would be there at a certain time she would be waiting in her car at least 30 minutes early. Jennifer is a lovely person. Very patient, she has a good relationship with my father. She pays attention to detail and is very meticulous about her work.

Jennifer - as a care coordinator and carer - helped to assist other staff member with the care of my step mother making sure she was kept comfortable during her last days. She assisted with the care package of my step mother and was always available on hand to help with her care needs. She assisted with bed bathing pad changing dressing and undressing food preparation which was always a healthy meal consisting of fresh vegetables and the blending of soft diets and assisting with feeding. I can say her timing was always good, she was never late, sometimes arriving before time to talk and read to my step mother before commencing her duties as my step mother loved reading. My step mother actually stated that Jennifer had a calming voice soothing to the ear. I find Jennifer always professional and would go above and beyond her duties to help the clients and extended families needs.
