I have more than 13 years experience working as both a live in carer and support worker for clients with spinal injury, dementia, Parkinson's disease and terminal illness. My roles involved making sure about the safety and independence of clients in the comfort of their own homes, accurate record keeping insuring confidentiality, respectful of clients' properties. I also helped my clients with driving them out and about, providing personal care, incontinence (handling of catheter bags), house keeping, (bathing/washing/dressing/cooking, shopping), manual transfer (using both manual/ceiling hoists/sliding boards), being companion to clients, facilitating appointments, administering and prompting medication. This broad and varied experience helped me to become a competent and knowledgeable carer who can tailor its approach to suit each individual client's needs. I like to encourage my clients to get involved in activities of their choice, encourage them to remain independent and do what they used to enjoy doing.

I have a positive attitude, I'm a responsible, caring, sensitive, understanding, flexible, patient, respectful, supportive and compassion person. I enjoy cooking, shopping and watching TV.

I'm looking for live in care and available as soon as possible.
