My name is Paula Bulgarelli, I am Brazilian and have lived in London for nineteen years. I have been a nanny for the past five years and in the last year and a half I have also been working as a domiciliary carer during school hours and at the weekends.
Since I decided to change careers and work as a home carer in London I have found that I love the work I do; I can make a real difference in people's lives and I find this incredibly rewarding. It gives me a great deal of pleasure to deliver elderly care, especially as I am away from my older relatives in Brazil.
I am very caring and trustworthy. I also understand the need for flexibility and I take pride in being punctual and professional in all my home care appointments. I am able to follow instructions and also take initiative when necessary. During my time working in elderly care I have gained experience helping to look after people with severe mobility issues and also with dementia, alcoholism, incontinence and multiple sclerosis and the many difficulties arising from these. I have also overseen short spells in hospital as a carer and been the main point of contact between the doctors and families.
Prior to this I worked as a manager in catering for over 13 years. I graduated as an architect in Brazil before coming to England. My hobbies and interests include photography and traveling whenever possible.
I have know Paula for ten years. As my health and balance has deteriorated she has been kind enough to work with me and she has been totally invaluable. Paula has taken great care and responsibility in her role as my immediate and prime person of contact and her kindness and reliability are apparent everywhere. I have every reason to recommend her to you. She would be invaluable for any person lucky enough to be in her care.

The very best care I could have hoped for - had everything under control without being overbearing, and very adept at managing anything that came her way. Also, a great person and really well liked. Would re-book or recommend without hesitation!
