I started in the care industry in 2002, working in a 40 bed nursing home as night carer and promoted to deputy manager supporting vulnerable adults. I also cared for vast number of clients with different needs and have experience in catheter management, moving and handling with various equipment e.g. hoist and assisted patients through end of life care.

I always aim to deliver, high standards of person centred care with a holistic approach. I always listen to my clients, pay attention to their needs and always thrive to make their life easier by, having an accurate care plan in place and also allowing the client to contribute to it. I am patient, caring, honest and always ready as well as willing to assist whenever possible.

I enjoy going to the theatre and cinema, walking and gardening. I also engage my clients in all sorts of activities such as coach holidays, fishing and cooking.

I am available from the 1st of March 2018 for Live in and very flexible to travel.

Audrey Mkali was a live in carer at my family home during 2011/2012. My partner and I lived with my Mother Jane for 18 years. During the later stages of her Dementia we needed a lot of help to keep her at home as she had always requested and we could not have managed without live in help. Audrey was one of two carers who stayed with us alternately until my Mother died. My Mother had a very distressing form of Dementia known as Lewy Body. She could hallucinate for days at a time with no sleep and then sleep for a couple of days. It was awful for my Mother and needed sensitive and careful support and care which Audrey provided beautifully. Audrey was with us for the last few days of Jane’s life. She was supportive to my Mother and also to us. When the end was coming she intuitively knew to leave us with Jane and then afterwards took care of all the necessary things that have to be done after a death . She has a kind and gentle approach to care but is confident and well organised in her work.
