I have been working as a carer since November 2016 and I have worked as well as gained experience in different care settings. My clients had different health issues ranging from osteoporosis to dementia (vascular and Lewy's Bodies), bipolar disorder, arthritis, diabetes and Parkinson’s. I assisted my clients with all aspects of care, such as full personal care, shopping, cooking, driving them around, making appointments, administering medication, providing companionship and a holistic person-centered care.
I believe good communication plays an important role in developing a good healthy relationship with my service users and also enables to ease the care process. I consider myself to have excellent communication and listening skills as well as have a good knowledge of the human body and how it works due to my obtained BSc and MSc qualification in sports science. I like to promote independent living with my clients and also put myself in their position and see things from their own perspective which allows me to provide them with the best care.
I play several sports from semi-marathon running to weight lifting, snooker and ping-pong. I enjoy driving, sightseeing, reading about history and geopolitics. I also play electric guitar, which I have been playing for 9 years.
I am available from the 8th of April 2018 and flexible to travel nationwide. Please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to accommodate your needs.
