About Mercy K.

I'm Mercy, a compassionate, patient and reliable carer who takes great pride in providing high-quality, person-centred care. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, valued and comfortable in their own home. I take the time to understand each individual's needs, preferences and routines, ensuring that the care I provide is tailored to their lifestyle and promotes dignity, independence and well-being.My passion for care comes from being a naturally caring and people-oriented person. Growing up in a large, loving family, I learned the importance of kindness, patience and supporting others, particularly older family members. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in care, where I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.Since December 2022, I have been committed to supporting individuals with their daily living needs, including personal care, meal preparation, mobility support, companionship, attending appointments and maintaining a comfortable home environment. I understand that moving into live-in care involves trust, understanding and respect, and I strive to build positive relationships with clients and their families.Where appropriate, I encourage activities such as conversation, reading, journalling, relaxation and gentle mental stimulation to support emotional well-being. As a live-in carer, my aim is to provide more than practical assistance. I want to offer companionship, reassurance and consistent support, helping clients maintain their independence, enjoy their daily routines and continue living with dignity in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, listening to music, playing games and going for walks. I also enjoy keeping my surroundings clean, tidy and comfortable. These interests allow me to relax, stay active and enjoy meaningful moments with others. I particularly value activities that encourage companionship, conversation and a positive outlook on life.
