I started working as a carer in 2013 and I have looked after clients with many different medical conditions. My responsibilities included delivering care services to the clients, monitoring thieir health and well being, administering medication, maintaining necessary records and participating in individuals care planning and liaising with health professionals and other authorities. As a live-in carer, I performed various duties such as cooking, cleaning, bathing, personal grooming, prompting medication, attending hospital appointments and other household duties required by the service user. I am patient, caring and have high levels of stress tolerance. I have the ability to respond to unexpected situations adequately, evaluate issues and able to come up with efficient as well as appropriate alternatives. I also ensure that I take into consideration, other complications that may occur and also be aware of my surroundings. As a carer, I always strive to make sure my clients are comfortable and happy at all times. I enjoy listening to music, swimming, travelling and watching movies. I always engage my clients in activities which they use to enjoy and also plan new ones to get them out of their comfort zone taking into account their mobility.
