I have been working as a live in carer since 2008, helping to look after people mainly with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, anxiety, cancer, palliative care, diabetes and MS. My main duties have been assisting clients with personal care, companionship, administering medication, cooking, domestic assistance, taking clients out to appointments and assisting with shopping. I am the type of person who remains positive and doesn't give up easily, regardless of the situation. I feel that this approach, enables me to provide high level of care to all my clients. I want my customers not only accept, but also enjoy my support, making sure I do my very best to provide care to their highest expectations. Making a real difference to people's lives gives me satisfaction through the support and companionship I give to my clients. And with the many challenges encountered in care, I constantly maintain patience, understanding and remain compassionate. In my spare time I like staying active by doing simple exercises, crosswords, colouring, going out for tea, lunch, shopping, gardening, following up on current affairs, travelling and going to church activities.
