About Deborah O.

My name is Deborah and I have worked in care for the past nine years. I began my career as an agency Care Assistant before progressing into live-in care five years ago, where I have continued to develop my skills and passion for supporting others. My journey into care is deeply personal. When I was 18, my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and I became her primary carer whilst continuing my studies. Caring for her until she sadly passed away was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, but it also shaped the person and carer I am today.I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I understand that families simply want the very best care for the person they love. The personal experience of losing my own Mother, allows me to provide not only practical support but also emotional reassurance to both my clients and their families. For me, care is about far more than meeting someone's daily needs. I build genuine relationships based on trust, respect and compassion. I don't simply see my clients as clients, they become like family to me. Supporting people to feel safe, valued and comfortable in their own homes is what motivates me every day, and it is a privilege to be part of their lives.

Hobbies

I enjoy bringing my creative side into my care. Whether it's drawing, painting, listening to music, gardening, baking, or supporting someone to enjoy outings and social activities, I love helping people continue doing the things that make them happy.
