About Philisiwe Priscilla M.

My name is Philisiwe Priscilla Mtshali, but my clients lovingly call me "Queenie" (Priscilla, the Queen of the Desert). I am a professional nurse with 38 years of experience in healthcare, and I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate and empathetic care. I began my nursing journey in 1986 and have worked in both South Africa and the UK, where I moved in 2003 to continue my work in nursing, teaching, and eventually live-in care. I have extensive experience in caring for clients with dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and anxiety. I am skilled in supporting elderly clients with various needs, including artificial feeding tubes (PEG and nasogastric), diabetes, oxygen therapy at home, and intermittent catheterization. My specialty lies in palliative care and providing mobility assistance to those in need. I believe in the importance of treating every client with kindness, respect, and compassion. I strive to be not just a caregiver but a loving companion, always there to provide comfort and a smile. I bring joy to my clients' lives by being fun, outgoing, and never shying away from singing and dancing to brighten their day. My goal is always to make my clients smile and ensure they feel valued and cared for. Outside of work, I enjoy watching football, rugby, and television, as well as attending music concerts and dancing. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring happiness to others and will continue to dedicate my heart and soul to the care of those I serve.
