About Alison W.
I have done the full Carer training and have my Care certificate. In 2022 I did a Diploma in Dementia Care with Selby College and in 2024 I am in the middle of an End of Life Care Diploma, also with Selby College.
I knit and do various crafts. Jigsaw puzzles and card games are great favourites. I have brought up 5 children, so can cook and remain calm in a crisis, usually all at once. I am welltravelled, articulate and enjoy companionship. I am fine with light housework and have a car. I have had pets all my life, so looking after pets is fine.
I have looked after short term needs after an operation. Early stages of Dementia and later stages. I have looked after PEG feeding, post stroke care and used a hoist. Most of all, I am a companion. I am proactive. I enjoy a challenge.
