I am a professional live-in carer with over 20 years experience working as a live-in carer. I have excellent communications skills and a client care focus. I have utilised my skills and experience to successfully support my clients. My clients have included the elderly, dementia, cancer and multiple scelrosis patients, clients with challenging behaviours and a variety of other needs. My experiences and training in the care field have given me the ability to handle challenging situations. I can handle any type of moving and handling from walking and standing aids to any type of hoists, management of colostomy and catheter bags, peg feeding and management of oxygen. I am capable of working in partnership with health professionals and the client’s next of kin to support their needs. The social healthcare courses that I have completed have enhanced my experience in my areas of work, enabling me carry out my job efficiently and effectively.
