About Sonia D.

I am a dedicated care professional with a rich background in the care industry, having worked in various settings and roles that allow me to provide compassionate support to individuals with diverse needs. My experience spans supported living and residential care for adults with learning disabilities, where I have served as a Team Leader, as well as various roles as a Senior Care Worker in different care homes. Most recently, I have embraced the role of a live-in care professional, where I focus on delivering personalized care in the comfort of clients’ homes. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with clients facing a range of conditions, including ADHD, Alzheimer's Dementia, Anxiety, Asperger's, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Learning Disabilities, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Physical Disabilities, and Vascular Dementia. This experience has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges each individual faces, enabling me to offer tailored support that promotes their well-being and independence. I am committed to continuous professional development and remain fully up-to-date with all required training. I hold a City and Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care, which equips me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care. I always strive for excellence in my work and take pride in building meaningful relationships with the individuals I care for, as well as their families. Getting to know them on a personal level allows me to better support their needs and preferences, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.
