About Lioba S.

Caring is at the heart of who I am. With a lifetime of caregiving experience, I’ve supported both elderly family members and clients professionally. My journey began in Zimbabwe, where I looked after my great-grandparents when they moved in with us. Now, with over twenty years in the Social Care sector in the UK, primarily as a Caregiver, I am deeply committed to ensuring that my clients feel safe, respected, and at home. I understand the unique vulnerabilities of each individual I care for and strive to enhance their lives by promoting comfort, independence, and fulfillment. My approach is both proactive and person-centered, focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. I carefully secure any potentially harmful items, ensure proper food storage and preparation in line with dietary needs, and keep their living space tidy. In every aspect of my care, I prioritize my clients' choices and independence. I work closely with each individual, listening attentively to their preferences and supporting them in making decisions around their daily lives. If a particular choice isn’t feasible, I explain why, reassure them, and suggest alternatives that still honor their preferences. From choosing meals and clothing to engaging in activities, I empower my clients to live as autonomously as possible. My keen observation skills enable me to notice shifts in mood, health, or behavior, which I promptly report to the appropriate professionals or family members, always in compliance with Data Protection laws. This close attention to detail allows for timely updates to Care Plans, ensuring that the support I provide continues to meet their evolving needs. Above all, I bring a calm and steady presence to my role. I am skilled at creating a tranquil atmosphere where clients feel comfortable and secure. For me, caregiving is not just a profession—it’s a calling, and I am dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care, so each individual I support can enjoy their life fully.

I enjoy knitting, crocheting, and sewing in my spare time. Spending time with family and friends brings me joy, and I love cooking meals for them to share together.
