About Alison M.

Alison is an experienced and intelligent carer from South Africa who has worked as a live-in carer in the UK since April 2012 and has considerable care experience supporting elderly clients in their own homes. She has provided care for clients with early stages of Parkinson’s, moderate dementia, as well as provided catheter care, diabetes care, cancer care, stroke care, COPD care and Palliative care. Before she became a live-in carer, Alison worked for 15 years as a veterinary nurse and dog groomer – she loves animals! She also cared for several family members who were unwell, and this experience led her to seek work as a carer, which really suits her – she enjoys enabling clients to live independently in their own homes. Alison can cook meals to suit her client’s tastes using fresh ingredients. She is also a confident driver and a non-smoker.
