About Beverley L.

Bev trained as a Registered General Nurse in South Africa and worked as a sister in the dialysis unit of a major hospital before training as a midwife. She then moved into medical research and care lecturing, before spending 10 yrs managing the needs of corporate clients whilst they relocated to South Africa. Since arriving in the UK in 2016 she has been working as a live-in carer. She really enjoys working with the elderly and is happy to work with clients with a range of needs from companionship to complex. She finds her nursing skills useful when working with clients with more complex needs. As a carer Bev has had experience of caring for clients with dementia, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease and end of life care. As a renal nurse she had a great deal of experience caring for clients with catheters and stomas. She is confident in the use of hoists.
