Sonia E.

Sonia began her career in nurse training but spent much of her career in IT. She turned to live in care when she was asked to support a 55 year old lady suffering with pancreatic cancer. This led to her returning to care work long term in 2011 and she has worked as a live in carer since this time, but since 2013 with Hometouch. Sonia is described by her clients as a patient, empathetic carer with a good sense of humour who always gives much more than is required to the job at hand. She researches each given position in an effort to help and understand her client as much as possible. Over the last 7 years Sonia has cared for a number of clients including those following stroke, suffering with Dementia, reduced mobility, anxiety and depression, reduced sight and blindness and with respiratory problems. Sonia describes herself as being a good listener and companion. She is a driver, car owner, non-smoker and loves animals.
