Marilyn B.

Marilyn started her career in care when she moved abroad in 2003 and worked as a carer and housekeeper in Spain and Mauritius before moving back to the UK in 2010. Upon her return, Marilyn initially worked as a daily carer, and then in a residential home for the elderly as a care assistant, before returning to live-in care which she prefers as it is where she can provide one-to-one tailored care to her clients. Marilyn has worked with a variety of clients during her career and is described by clients and their families as sensitive to individual needs, flexible, and adaptable to fit in with their specific requirements. She has considerable experience caring for clients suffering from dementia and also cared for clients following strokes, and with MS, Parkinsons’ disease, paraplegia, mobility issues, bedbound and impaired vision. She has worked with both male and female clients. Marilyn has a friendly but calm personality and takes any challenge in her stride. She is proactive in her approach to her work. Marilyn is also a French speaker, a driver, a non-smoker and likes animals. She is a confident cook and enjoys a healthy diet herself, and aims to provide the same for her clients.
