Lesley P.

Lesley trained as a nurse and a registered midwife and worked in hospitals in South Africa. She left nursing for a time when she moved to the UK and undertook office-based roles between 1990–2004 before returning to her caring career. She started with some daily care work and then moved into live-in care in 2012 which she has happily undertaken to date. Her roles in live-in care have entailed supporting elderly clients with a variety of different needs such as palliative care, dementia, stroke clients, Parkinson’s and many more. Lesley enjoys encouraging her clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Her nursing background has proved of benefit in these roles and adds to the skills and experience she offers to her clients. She is an excellent communicator and able to work well with clients, their families and the medical personnel involved in her client’s care. Lesley likes to build a relationship with her clients and enjoys tailoring her care and support to meet their individual needs. Lesley is a good and creative cook, a confident driver and likes animals.
