About Catia A.

I originally hail from Portugal, where I began my career as a TV producer and journalist. My journey into the care industry started when I became aware of the challenges faced by individuals in need, and I felt a strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives. Since 2015, I have been dedicated to my role as a carer, and I have successfully completed the Care Certificate. My commitment to professional development is evident through my participation in various training programs, including Dementia Awareness and End of Life Care. I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of patients, supporting their independence while addressing their unique needs. I pride myself on being a strong communicator and a person-centered caregiver who actively listens to understand the needs of those in my care. My experience includes working with individuals facing various conditions, such as Alzheimer’s Dementia, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Motor Neurone Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Spinal Injury, Stroke, Terminal Illness, and Vascular Dementia. I am passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
