I have provided support to clients with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, catheter, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), dementia, and end of life care. My experience includes personal care, palliative care, medication management, first aid/CPR, catheter management, hoist operation and companionship to name a few, and I am dedicated to assisting with appointments and social outings, including during holidays. I am able to cook, handle domestic chores, and manage shopping. I am committed to upholding the dignity and respect of those I care for. I pride myself on being patient, caring, calm, and organized in all aspects of my work. On a personal note, I have a passion for photography and drive a lightly converted van, which I take on trips to explore country sides, cities, nature and wildlife. In my younger years, I worked in IT, so I am well versed in technology. Those who know me describe me as a compassionate carer with a dark sense of humour, which is a good coping mechanism for difficult situations. For me, the most rewarding aspect of this job is making a difference in someone else's life.
