I have been doing care work for a few years and my wealth of experience in that time really proves invaluable when it comes to meeting new clients and being able to adapt to their needs. I am very good at initially meeting a client and building a rapport quickly as I am friendly, outgoing and I have good listening skills which enables me to get to know them. I am observant of non verbal communication such as body language, facial expression and gestures so I pick up on mood quickly and in turn, am reactive to my clients emotional need. I am competent using moving and handling equipment and have skills to assist clients when they need support to mobilise around their home and local community. I have experience supporting people with personal care, medication, administration and am confident assisting with these. I am a good cook and can make a variety of meals from scratch and enjoy cooking and baking. I am happy to work in a house with pets.
