I’ve been working in care for 7 years and during this period I’ve been involved in many responsibilities, As a carer my role usually included assisting and supporting clients during their recovery period after hospital discharge, personal care/hygiene such as washing, bathing and showering. I also supported service users with daily duties such as shopping, managing their bill payments and groceries, meal preparations, feeding and monitoring dietary needs. I am open, easy going, hard working and a trustworthy person. Besides being a carer, it’s about building a friendship with my client as I believe this will make it easier for them to be open with me and help me to understand them better. I also engage my clients in activities such as going to community centre for games or lunch chats, puzzles, taking walks when the weather is good. I also believe that if someone is passionate about their job, they’re much more likely to do it well and this is me. Being a carer is more than just a job to me and I do it with all my heart in it in order to make a difference in people’s lives. I like watching football, going to the gym and socialising where I can. I am available for Live-in carer placement and open to travelling.
