I began to do care work in 2004, working residential care homes, during this time I was promoted 3 times from support worker, shift leader,Team leader and then Deputy manager.. I've worked with people suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, MS & at the end of life and so many other conditions. I started live-in care from 2018. I gave my patients emotional support & I carried out household duties like cooking, laundry, cleaning, ironing & shopping. I assisted them with personal care. I like learning how to cook different foods. I'm caring, kind, patient & a good listener. I've worked with other health professionals such as doctors, nurses, dentists, dieticians, social workers & health carers. I love my job as a carer as I can make a difference to someone's life. My hobbies are Swimming, cooking, reading and watching movies. I like taking clients out for walks in the park and shopping. I'm available to work nationally. I have always looked after people, I have worked in care for over 9 years, and it's a part of who I am. To be a good carer you have to be kind, loving and to want make a difference.
