I have worked within the NHS and currently working within the private sector as a carer. During this period I have worked with a variety of clients, from those living with dementia and nursing needs in residential accommodation to domiciliary and palliative care for those living in the community. I have supported them with personal care, maintaining healthy eating habits, medication and activities including accessing the community. I have also supported those with learning disabilities and mental health within the private sector to live a fulfilled and meaningful life with person centred care at the core of my support.
I consider myself to be a good carer because, of my understanding of person centred support which ensures that the client is always at the centre of the support provided. Coupled with my hard working ethics, good communication skills and vivacious personality. I enjoy working with individuals from a vast background and learning new things. Planning their weeks with them in advance to highlight the support needed. I also learn about my clients lives including their history, preferences etc I enjoy all activities especially ones that are meaningful to my clients my favourites are dominoes, scrabble, cards and bingo.
In my spare time I like listening to music, talking about history, playing board games and dancing.
I am available for live in placement and flexible to travel within 10 mile radius from my location.
