About Mascyline M.

My previous care experiences cover a wide variety of settings, such as hospitals, care homes, floating support and live in settings. In these settings I worked with clients with many different abilities, ages, ethnicities and gender. For example, some of the clients I worked with had dementia, mental health illnesses, diabetes, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, Parkinson disease and cancer. I also have experience in all aspects of personal care and administration of prescribed medication. My role as a carer has always been to support clients, help them to live a normal life within society while been independent. I am a very patient, considerate, open minded caring individual who seeks to improve the quality of life of every client I work with. I am also a good listener who is compassionate and shows empathy to all clients. The clients needs are always at the centre of everything I do, weather is going out for a walk or preparing a meal. I always take my time to ensure every aspect of their care needs are met at all times. I try to make my clients' life easier by putting myself in their shoes, listening to them and trying to understand their situation and working with it to allow daily life activities to be simple rather than difficult. I always encourage clients to try and do things on their own if they can and I just support them, this not only stimulates their mind, it allows them to maintain their dignity and self identity. I enjoy watching soaps and classic programmes, reading, going swimming, taking walks with my dog, cooking and baking. I have recently started sewing and up cycling for home improvements. I am available for live in care and flexible to work within greater London.
